Itinerary
On arrival you will be picked from the airport by our company driver guide and you will set off and go to Jinja. On the way to Jinja we shall go through Mabiranatural Forest and past Sezibwa falls lunch will be served at Kingfishe lodge in Jinja, which has a commanding view of the Source of the Nile River. Afternoon boat cruise to the Source of the Nile River and optional other activities like whitewater rafting, Horse ride or any other activity of choice. (if client interested in whitewater rafting it will be done the following morning due to starts in the morning).Dinner and overnight at kingfisher lodge
After breakfast you will visit a few spots in Jinja including Owen Falls and Bujagali Falls Dams; then you proceed to Kampala- Kasubi Royal Tom, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site, if time allows we visit the Uganda museum, Uganda Matters Namugongo on th way (We tend to have a lot car traffic jam in the city that is why we have to consider the element of time). Dinner and overnight at Biyem Hotel in Kampala.
After our morning breakfast, we shall leave Kampalaa and head toward Murchison Falls National Park, where we will spend the night at Fort Murchison (well located) given the route we will be accessing the park from, before checking into our rooms we shall having lunch in Masindi town followed by Top of the Falls plus an evening game drive expecting to see a variety of mammals and bird species. like giraffes, buffaloes, Elephants, school of Hippos, bush bucks and water bucks,, lions, baboons and more.
After our early morning breakfast, we will be taken for an early morning game drive towards the northern riverbank in search of Cape Buffaloes, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, lions, giraffes, waterbucks and bush bucks, and if you are lucky also leopards. You will have lunch in the park the afternoon boat cruise to the most powerful falls on the Nile River-the boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, you’ll experience the highlight of a fascinating tour to this area of Murchison Falls National Park. You’ll meet probably in excess of 4,000 hippos along this stretch of the river and numerous Nile crocodiles as well as a vast number of bird species swerving and swirling in the air. You won’t miss the brightly colored King Fishers and bee-eaters dwelling along the riverbanks. The boat cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will gather further impressions of the falls and the Nile River at large. Dinner and overnight Fort Murchison.
After morning breakfast, we shall drive to Lake Mburo N.park, in the western part of Uganda. It will take us between 8-9hrs of drive. We will have lunch on the way, if time allows we will opt for an evening game drive in Lake Mburo boasts of animals like Zebras, water and bush bucks, baboons, warthogs, varvet monkeys and a variety of kobs to mention but a few. This is only the national park of Uganda where game walks are possible because it doesn’t have dangerous animals. Dinner and overnight at Leopard camp or Eagle nest.
After our morning breakfast, we will head for an early game drive while search for the early risers. We will go with our packed lunch and later we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale known as “the lake of small birds”. It is the second deepest fresh water lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyinka. You will be thrilled with the sceneries on this rift valley lake. A number of activities include in this lake batwa hike, the Echuya forest, canoe trekking as we visit the 29 islands not leaving out the famous punishment island to mention but a few. Dinner and overnight at Kyahugye Island or Keije Resort.
After our early morning breakfast, we shall board a dugout canoe and visit a number of islands that this beautiful lake as mentioned above. Other activities are swimming, water, birding depend on choice. Dinner and overnight at Kyahugye Island or Keije Resort.
After our morning breakfast, we shall head to Mgahinga in Kisoro via the Echuya forest for a catch up with the Batwa/ pygmies before proceeding to Kisoro town. We will arrive in time for a Kisoro coffee tour where you will learn about local coffee production in this place. Later we retire for the day at our lodge. Dinner and overnight Travalers Rest Hotel or Ikaze Hotel in Kisoro town.
After our morning breakfast, we shall head for a Gorilla tracking in the Mgahinga N.park with packed lunch. We will follow the procedures as guided by the park rangers. This park harbors a number of other animals like the bush pigs, giant forest hogs, forest buffaloes, elephants, bush bucks, golden cats and monkeys, black -fronted duikers to mention but a fewand we will return in time for our dinner and overnight as above accommodation.
After our morning breakfast, we shall set off to Queen Elizabeth N.Park via the “Ekitagata Hotspring” believed to have healing waters. It will take us 5-6:30hrs drive. We will arrive at our lodge and check in and have a lunch relaxation. Later go for an evening game drive(optional). Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge.
After our morning breakfast, we shall head for the morning game search for the early risers in the 2nd largest National Park-Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best places in Uganda to see lions. Expect to see the big 5 mammals, hippos, crocodiles, and maybe leopards. After lunch at the lodge we head for the boat launch along Kazinga Channel is known to be the only place with the highest concentration of hippos in the world. A number of other aquatic animals and birds will be viewed too. Later we shall set off and we will overnight in Kasese “the mining town.Any choice hotel in kasese town”.
After our morning breakfast, we shall drive to Fort portal stopping over at Mahoma. It will be like 2hour’s drive from Kasese and on arrival we head for Mahoma soothing falls hike and Massage and visit the crater lakes. We will be with our packed lunch. We will retire later in the evening to our hotel Rwenzori view guest house for dinner and overnight.
After our morning breakfast with our packed lunch, we shall set off to the Kanyanchu park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the primates by the park rangers before we head into the forest to spend a day with them. The forest harbors a variety of other monkey species like baboons, black and white colobus, red colobus, grey cheeked mangabey and L'Hoest monkey and many others. We will retire later to the lodge for dinner a d overnight at Kibale Forest Lodge
After our morning breakfast, we shall head for the bigodi community swamp walk. And we shall learn one or two things about the community and it’s natives before heading for our lunch and after lunch you will be dropped at Kaswa Guest Farm in Fort Portal as you prepare for the next day’s transfer to Entebbe international Airport for your flight back home.
After breakfast you will drive to Entebbe International Airport for the evening flight back home, lunch will be served at Faze 3 in Entebbe 3 kms to the airport.
